Scouting’s 58th Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) is Friday through Sunday, October 16-18. More than 400 US participants have registered, with nearly 4000 worldwide. There is still time to register your station. The BSA Radio Scouting Committee has posted an extensive listing of frequencies and operating information — Guidelines for Amateur Radio Operators. This provides information about getting on the air, including HF frequencies as well as D-STAR, EchoLink, and IRLP, and it’s been updated to include DMR.
JOTA participating stations are urged to file a post-JOTA report on their activity, including the number of participating Scouts, visitors, and Amateur Radio operators; radios on the air; contacts, and states and countries contacted. Photos and stories are welcome!
